Save the date cards let your guests know the date and location of your wedding so they can plan ahead to keep the date free. Save the date cards are not an essential; however, they are a great way to allow your guests plenty of time to make their arrangements. For guests who will be travelling to your wedding from abroad, a Save The Date invitation is a thoughtful gesture.
- Save the Date cards are not the same as wedding announcement cards
- You send a Save the Date to anyone who will also be receiving a wedding invitation.
- It is a good idea to include the wedding location, along with the date so that guests can make travel plans.
- Save the date cards are less formal, therefore it is acceptable to write the numeric date of your wedding.
- Add “Invitation to Follow” at the bottom of your save the date invitation so it isn’t mistaken for a wedding invitation.

For her wedding Sinéad chose a silver pocket fold wedding invitation with shimmering silver inserts. We added swarovski crystal and satin ribbon ties to finish the invitation. The evening invitation was created in matching silver with a satin ribbon tie.
Sharon and Paul chose our Winter Snow Invitation for their December wedding. We completed their silver pocket fold invitation with silver evening invitation and additional silver RSVP envelopes. The square flat evening invitation was customised with a white satin ribbon tie. A lovely winter wonderland wedding invitation.
For her winter wedding Evelyn decided on our ivory Pristine wedding invitation. We customised this invitation with a satin aubergine ribbon tie. The wedding stationery was completed with shimmering postcard response cards and ivory thank you cards.
For this wedding invitation we printed the invitation details in both French and English on our Fuchsia wedding invitation. Sarah chose this contemporary wedding invitation for her wedding to Jérémie in November 2011.
Marisa and Michael chose our Caramel Bow Wedding Invitation for their wedding stationery. We also provided gold A5 Ceremony Covers with caramel satin ties and our Layered RSVP cards. The full suite was created using shimmering gold and ivory card with satin ribbon.
Iveta and Donal picked our Caramel Bow wedding invitation for their November wedding. The heavy gold and ivory card was complemented with layered response cards and envelopes all tied with caramel satin ribbon.
Louise wanted to incorporate a navy blue colour into her wedding invitation. We customised our Lilac Invitation with navy blue designs and navy blue satin ribbon tie. Louise also chose our flat evening invitation which was coordinated by adding the lilac navy blue design and matching shimmering card.
Wedding signs can really add a personal touch to your wedding table and look great in photographs. You can match the ribbons and card to your wedding colours and theme. Wedding signs can be functional also by directing your guests as with our Wedding Door Sign, reserving your chairs with our Bride & Groom Signs or announcing your new married status with our Mr. & Mrs. chair signs.
For their black tie wedding in Kildare, Samantha and Mark chose our Pristine wedding invitation. We then customised the invitation with a satin black ribbon and shimmering ivory card. Coordinating shimmering ivory square RSVP cards, a full Ceremony Booklet and Thank You Cards completed the suite. A very elegant stationery set.
